About
Wander the 200 acres of Battersea Park, a Victorian inner city park with plenty to see and do.
There are historic and contemporary gardens to enjoy, including the Promontory Garden where you can sit and take in views of the river, and a sub-tropical garden featuring unusual plants and bold colours. The Russell Page garden was designed by the renowned landscape gardener of the same name.
As you stroll along, look out for sculptures by leading artists such as Barbara Hepworth’s Single Form and Henry Moore’s Three Standing Figures. Stop for a moment of contemplation in the striking Peace Pagoda, which features four bronze statues that depict Buddha throughout his life.
During the summer months of July and August you can take in the scenery from the lake by renting a boat to row or pedal.
For the kids there are two playgrounds, the toddlers playground for the little ones or the adventure playground for older kids. Budding explorers can meet the animals at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo, home to meerkats, monkeys and more.
