The Prince Edward Theatre is on Old Compton Street in the heart of London’s West End. The theatre is used as a venue for long-running musicals and, since 2019, has been the London home of Mary Poppins.
First opened in 1930, the Prince Edward Theatre is now owned by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, who are also in charge of seven other highly successful West End theatres.
Previous hit shows to have played at the Prince Edward Theatre include the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita, which opened in 1978 and closed in 1986 after 3176 performances.
Other musicals that have been performed at the theatre include MAMMA MIA!, Jersey Boys and Miss Saigon.
