V&A East Storehouse is a working museum store that’s open for you to explore, a short walk from Hackney Wick station.
More than 250,000 objects are ready for you to get up close and follow wherever your curiosity leads. From streetwear to sculpture, design icons to pop culture pioneers and large-scale objects displayed for the first time, this is your access-all-areas experience of one of the world’s most iconic collections.
See conservation work (and/or the creative process to wrap in Clothworkers) happening live and discover displays, events and workshops pulling back the curtain on how the V&A works…
Collecting Stories reveals how and why the museum does what it does; Design + Making goes deeper into the collection to examine how items were made, who made them and why; and the Working Museum shines a light on the lengths it goes to in order to protect and preserve these important objects.
Every day, you will have a chance to discover something new from the collection, with regular Object Encounters offering drop-in sessions led by V&A curators.
