- The magnificent State Apartments, decorated with some of the finest works of art in the Royal Collection. Spot masterpieces on display by Holbein, Rubens and Van Dyck, Sèvres porcelain and exquisite English and French furniture.

- Try to time your visit for the Changing the Guard ceremony, it takes place at 11am on select days (weather permitting) from Monday to Saturday between April and June. The rest of the year it takes place on alternate days, with the exception of Sundays.

November to February: 10am to 4.15pm (last admission 3pm).

On the days the castle is closed, the tours will operate with a walking tour instead.
