About

Head to Coram’s Fields, a unique seven-acre playground and park near the British Museum in Bloomsbury where children under 16 years old can use up some energy right in the centre of London.

You’ll find a variety of playgrounds as well as sports pitches, lawns and a paddling pool. The children’s charity also runs free under-fives drop-in play sessions every weekday morning.

What is there to see at Coram’s Fields?

Steeped in history and located in the heart of London, Coram’s Fields provides a safe place for children to play in the centre of the capital.

In summer months, toddlers love to splash in the paddling pool and pretend they’re on the beach in the giant sandpits. In winter, under-fives can also enjoy the indoor rooms of soft play equipment and craft activities in the morning drop-in sessions.

Older children make a beeline for the challenging adventure playground with its zip wire and climbing wall, while the main playground is home to one of the longest slides in London.

But it’s not just a playground, Coram’s Fields has the best synthetic football pitches in central London along with netball and basketball pitches, table-tennis and long jump facilities, which are all free to use and the charity runs free sports activities for 5 to 19-year-olds throughout the week.

The lawns make a good picnic spot and young naturalists will want to drop in on the wildlife garden, with its micro-habitats including ponds, a wormery, log pile, compost area, rockeries and beehives.
