There’s an emphasis on game, foraging and wild food on the seasonal menu, with dishes such as pheasant, chorizo and wholegrain mustard pie and teal (duck) with chanterelle mushrooms, spelt and fig sauce. The Jugged Hare’s signature dish is wild Norfolk hare, traditionally braised and served in a jug with mashed potatoes, cabbage and bacon.

Don’t miss out on the Sunday roasts of longhorn beef, roast Tamworth pork belly, free-range chicken and Welsh lamb. There are fish and vegetarian alternatives available too.

Stop by between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday, to tuck into a pre-theatre menu of two or three courses.
