The George Inn

Stop for a drink and bite to eat at National Trust-owned pub, The George Inn, the only remaining galleried inn in London.

Just down the road from Borough Market in Southwark, the pub is a maze of little rooms, creaky stairs and corridors.

Author Charles Dickens mentions the pub in Little Dorrit and is said to have visited the inn when it functioned as a coffee house.
