Harold Fry is never destined to lead an extraordinary life, but that changes when he receives a letter from an old friend facing terminal illness. He embarks on a pilgrimage of more than 500 miles from Devon to Berwick-upon-Tweed, hoping to reach his friend in time, leaving behind Maureen – his deeply worried wife – and a struggling marriage.
Along the way, he meets a variety of unusual characters who help him overcome difficulties and reach his final goal, prompting him to re-evaluate his life choices. Through the people he meets from all walks of life, Harold embarks on a journey of self-discovery, creating a heartwarming story filled with tears, laughter and optimism.

Katy Rudd (Ballet Shoes, The Ocean at the End of the Lane) directs the production, with Mark Addy (Collaborators, The Full Monty) leading the cast as Harold Fry. He is joined on stage by Jenna Russell (Hello, Dolly!, Flowers for Mrs Harris), who plays his wife, Maureen Fry. Both actors are reprising their roles from the Chichester run.
