About

Get ready to embark on a wild and mind-blowing (mis)adventure as new immersive experience The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy premieres in London at Riverside Studios

Step into a live version of Douglas Adams’ universe – an out-of-this-world, multidimensional spectacle that dives into the roots of science fiction, searching for answers about the universe and everything that surrounds us.

Originally created as a BBC radio series before becoming a bestselling sci-fi franchise, this new show is set to captivate audiences with a truly unique, intergalactic journey.

What to expect from this out-of-this-world show

Don’t panic – The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy live show lands in London this autumn. Join Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Fenchurch and many more as they escape Earth’s destruction aboard a passing spaceship.

Your journey begins in a rather unusual pub, where an evening of storytelling and spectacle awaits. Things kick off in true Hitchhiker style, quite literally, with a sudden intergalactic escape, much like Martin Freeman’s Arthur in the 2005 film.

What follows is an immersive theatrical adventure through Douglas Adams’ brilliantly bizarre universe, filled with strange worlds, unforgettable characters, and big questions about life, the universe, and everything. Expect an experience that’s surreal and full of cosmic chaos – as you search for the meaning of life, try to reason with a group of mice, and get help (sort of) from a very depressed little robot.

Created by an award-winning team of visionaries

Blending musical theatre, dance, and immersive technology, this immersive production is inspired by Douglas Adams’ best-selling novels and the 2005 film adaptation. The Douglas Adams’ show comes to life at London’s Riverside Studios – a venue that once hosted some of the earliest episodes of Doctor Who.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy live show is brought to life by an award-winning creative team. Co-creator and writer Arvind Ethan David previously adapted another of Adams’ cult works, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, for the stage. He’s joined by co-creator and production designer Jason Ardizzone-West, an Emmy Award-winning stage designer known for Jesus Christ Superstar Live (NBC), with multiple nominations recognising his innovative work in theatre and live performance.

The team also includes co-director and choreographer Lorin Latarro, whose West End and Broadway credits span major productions including Waitress, Mrs. Doubtfire, and the upcoming revival of The Producers
